"Montevideo, Taste of a Dream" Competes For St. George Trophy at the 33th Moscow International Film Festival

In this years 33th annual Moscow International Film Festival, Intermedia Network's 'Montevideo, Taste of a Dream' will be screen as part of the main competition programme. This will also be the international premiere of Dragan Bjelogrlic's debut film as a diretor, which has shattered the box-office accross Serbia with more than 500.000 admissions.

 

 

The Serbian blockbuster will have the chance to compete for the St. George trophy in this years festival which will be held in Russian capital from 23rd of June until the 1st of July. Geraldine Chaplin the eminent actress and daughter of Charlie Chaplin will be among the jury, while the full jury body will be announced by the organizers in the upcoming days.

 

Over the past decades the renown and influence of the Moscow Festival on the world filmmaking process have grown significantly. It belongs in the very top category of film festivals across the world which includes the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Festival as well as the Berlinale. Its eminence has grown significantly ever since it is presided by the Russian director and actor Nikita Mikhalkov.

 

 

A part of the cast of 'Montevideo, Taste of A a Dream' , including director Dragan Bjelogrlic, will have the opportunity to walk on the famous red carpet of the MIFF, who said that the invitation for his film to be screened at the main programme of such an important festival  is a very important affirmation and a great honor. " I do not think we could have hoped for a better place to have our international premier" he added.
