„Montevideo, Taste of a Dream“ Screened in the Main Competition at Moscow International Film Festival

Motion picture „Montevideo, Taste of a Dream“ was shown in the main competition of 33rd Moscow International Film Festival on Saturday, 25 June.

Tickets for the screening of Serbian film in the festival hall „October“ were sold out. Along with the Moscow audience five-member international jury, that decides the winner of this year festival, watched the film too.

Russian artist and the president of the festival Nikita Mihalkov joined the film crew „Montevideo, Taste of a Dream“ after the screening.

Judging by the reactions of audience and media representatives film directed by Dragan Bjelogrlic produced by Intermedia Network is one of the favorites at this festival.

In the highly visited press conference held the day before the premiere, the film director and actors Milos Bikovic, Petar Strugar and Danina Jeftic garnered compliments from a number of journalists.

Bjelogrlic said that the participation in the festival is a great honor for the most viewed Serbian movie in recent years: „Moscow is the right place where the film dominated by emotion to be recognized properly, and if  I could choose, I would choose Moscow Film Festival for the film international presentation.“  

In the official competition of the 33rd Moscow International Film Festival, which will run until 2nd of July, involved a total of 17 films. The jury of main competition is chaired by Geraldine Chaplin.
