CINEMA ''BALKAN'' - STAR DEDICATED TO COMEDIC LEGEND

In the presence of family, friends and adoring fans, one of Serbia's greatest actors was honored with his very own star in front of the historic „Balkan" movie theatre in downtown Belgrade. Danilo Bata Stojkovic is famous for his numerous comedic portrayals as the “small man fighting the system.” After the ceremony, guests were treated to a midnight showing of Ko to tamo peva , staring Stojkovic as a Germanophile bus passenger traveling to Belgrade in the early morning of April 6, 1941, the day Belgrade was bombed by the Axis and Yugoslavia entered World War II. Stojkovic's star is the very first to shine on „star boulevard" in front of the „Balkan" theatre in Belgrade, and is a tribute to his noteworthy contributions to Serbian cinematography.
